Boora Architects have finished the office renovation for the FINE Design and style Group in
Portland, Oregon.

This new operate atmosphere for FINE Layout Group embodies the creative agency’s power and collaborative nature.
To produce the new area, Boora Architects capitalized on the exposed steel structure, concrete floors, and abundance of normal light of a 5,475-square foot raw shell area. The outcome is a loft-like open office atmosphere with a relaxed feel.Inside of the open area, crucial elements define distinct system zones:
The “Barn” is a 3-pronged area that floats at the west end of the room and homes 2 offices and the agency’s conference area. The Barn’s complicated shape generates the possibility for distinct plan regions all around its exterior – the billiards location is sheltered on 1 side whilst crew perform spaces encounter the kitchen and the open workstations. Wrapped in a writable and magnetic surface, the walls are used for brainstorming and pin-up room.
The residential-scale kitchen is a staff gathering spot and the hub for the several occasions the group hosts. Tile from Heath Ceramics, glazed in a custom pattern of matte and gloss, defines the area with a constant field of shade from wall to floor. Floating shelves hold dishes and healthful snacks and a customized butcher block island completes the area.
At the east end of the office, Boora developed a walnut-clad bookcase that houses an eclectic mix of books and objects. Functionally, the bookcase screens the print/copy zone, gives a touch-down spot for laptop users, and frames the lounge location. Curtains can be drawn in between the lounge and open workstations to divide the area and give visual privacy.
